    PokerStars is giving an opportunity to its players to win Porsche Cayman S.

    Entrance into the tournament for the car is free. PokerStars players just need to make a deposit or reload until October 17th and they will be granted a ticket into the freeroll tournament set to give away the Porsche and other cash prizes. There is no minimum deposit set, but players will need to enter bonus code – WINCAR for a reload, NEWCAR for a first time deposit.

    The tournament will take place on October 18th at 13:00, but players will be allowed to get tickets until October 17th, 13:00. Make sure you get yours!

  • World’s Largest Poker Tournament From Full Tilt Poker

    Full Tilt Poker will try to break the official Guinness World Record(TM) for Largest Online Poker Tournament by attracting more than 35,000 players to the table on July 19th at 15:05ET.

    The Record Breaker tournament was unveiled as the finale to FIVE – a week of events and promotions honoring the fifth birthday of Full Tilt Poker.

    Team Full Tilt members and WSOP bracelet winners Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson and Phil Ivey are planning to participate, offering players the chance to sit down at this historic event with some of the best high stakes and tournament players in the world.

    Staging a poker tournament of this size would be really difficult. The current record for the largest “live” poker tournament was set at the 2006 WSOP Main Event with 8,772 players.

    The Record Breaker will begin on July 19, 2009 at 15:05 ET. Players can be a part of the world record attempt for US$5 or 1000 Full Tilt Points and compete for a share of a US$250K guaranteed with US$250K added prize pool.

  • PKR Poker Player Finishes 7th In WSOP Event

    PKR, the only 3D poker room online, player ‘James 666′ finished 7th in the WSOP $2,500 No Limit six handed event and won over $54,000.

    James lost to Joe Serock who denied him a place on the final table. Nevertheless, James can be proud as he managed to beat some of the games pro’s and former WSOP bracelet winners.

    James said, “Going into the tournament Andrew Teng told me I had a good shot. The first table I sat at was unbelievably soft so I used a lot of aggression I learned from cash games to build up a nice stack early on. It gave me a lot of confidence and by midday yesterday it felt like I knew I was going to win it.”

  • Another WSOP Winner

    Ken Aldridge, former high school teacher, became Event 9 WSOP winner. Aldridge, 57, is a recreational player from Pleasant Garden, North Carolina and has only cashed in two major poker tournaments. This event was his first WSOP cash. He said he’s only played shorthanded when players are eliminated, but still believed he played nearly perfect poker.

    “I really don’t think I made many mistakes,” Aldridge said to the WSOP. “I was very happy with how things went. I think I was behind only one time the whole tournament when I was all-in”

    Ken won $428,259 in the event.

    British poker players get an opportunity to play against former tennis star Boris Becker in PokerStars heads-up challenge.

    Players will have to go through number of qualifiers before facing Boris where $5,000 and two tickets for the opening day of this year´s Wimbledon will be at stake.

  • $1 Million To WSOP Qualifiers From Everest Poker

    Players who qualified for the WSOP Main Event through Everest Poker, but did not win anything will have a chance to put some cash in their pockets. Everest Poker intends to distribute amount of total winnings of all qualified players (up to $1 million) at the WSOP Main Event among its players.

  • Live WSOP At PKR

    Next generation poker room PKR obtained exclusive rights to show the 2009 World Series. PKR.com will be the only place to watch this year’s WSOP events live. And what is most important, it will be available for free.

    “The World Series of Poker is without doubt the biggest event of the poker calendar and it fills me with delight that PKR has managed to scoop exclusive rights to be the official broadcaster for these 24 bracelet events,” said PKR Marketing Director Simon Prodger.

    Aruba, tiny Caribbean island, will host the 8th annual Ultimatebet Poker Classic. Ultimatebet tournament will take place in luxurious Radisson Aruba Resort and Casino from October 3rd -10th 2009 with over 550 players.

    Aruba Poker Classic Championship Event buy-in is US$5,500. Last year’s winner pocketed US$1 million.

  • Porsche At Stake In PokerStars Turbo Takedown

    PokerStars Turbo Takedown is a monthly FPP buy-in event. It will hold a once-only event with a reduced buy-in of 2,000 FPPs and a Porsche awarded to the winner on top of the already guaranteed US$1 million prize pool on Monday June 1, at 4:30am AEST. Players can also enter the tournament through satellite for as few as 8 FPPs.

    May Turbo Takedown Summary
    * Buy-in only 2,000 FPP (normally 5,000 FPP)
    * Cap increased to 30,000 players – meaning 10,000 players will receive a share of the $1 million prize pool
    * First prize will include cash and the 10th Porsche PokerStars have awarded
